Any tips on getting the chrome trim in around wind screen all other windows done c and c rubbers and chrome and metal tool.

We have the corners in but the straights keep popping out...

Im going to be changing deluxe seals soon, got the tool although not sure how to use it

My one question though is the order in which you fit it?

Im thinking:

window in rubber > chrome in rubber > window in bus

Would this be the right way around it?

Thanks

Yeah rubber around window then string around the bit you are pulling window in to frame with the chrome. A bit of wd40 to lube rubber up..

Windscreen took 2 of us the rest with being flat one person..

Ours were c&c rubbers and the deluxe metal trim. We had the tool and changed the adapter to find the one that worked best for us..

The joining clips need a bit of force to go on..

Then you need to carefully move them to the window hole and fit to move the risk of them coming out in storage

The originals will pop in 'easily'. just massage them in the rubber while the windscreen is still out.
If you are using repro chrome...I wish you luck. I didn't get them to fit as the corners are bent in the wrong shape

We knackered the first windscreen one. I think the reproduction ones are bent incorrectly but we got them all in..

Most done in house watching tv...

I've recently done every window on the bus with new deluxe seals, my advice would be get the custom and commercial ones not cheap just kampers ones, and go with the metal instead of plastic as its easier. You need two people at least to put all the windows in. It's a ball ache. Plenty of washing up liquid on the rubber and on the opening on the bus.

I found that the plastic insert went in easy, just make sure the rubber is the right one to take the plastic. C &c told me the rubbers would take plastic or metal but that isn't the case!
