On my june 68 westy i have late bay disc brakes up front and an adapter 5*112-> 5*205, so i can run flipped Sprintstars. (The og 14" hit the caliber)
In the back i have the og setup, also with Sprintstars.

I have just got a rear end from a 76 latebay for free, and now i'm considering of using the hub and other stuff from that rear end on my 68.
This way i could use modern 5*112 wheels all the way round..i know it might sound crazy to some :)

I know it's very simple to do on a 70', but is it more complex on a 68 ?

Thanks

Ronnie

Haven’t done it Ronnie myself, but I can’t think of anything too crazy to sort out. The main differences has got to be in the back plate etc, but if you have all of it I’m pretty sure it’s doable. The splines won’t come into it

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,keep us posted bud

I don't see why not, if you use the entire latebay setup with the hub carrier, stub axle, backplates and brakes it should be a straightish swap.
If you do, can I take the early rear brake drums off your hands please?

Hi Ronnie

How did the conversion go? Thinking of doing the same thing to my 69 bay

Cheers
