I pulled the rear shift rod out of the van yesterday, plan being to sort the bushes while the engine and box are out. I was aware that x-overs have the silly seperate bit (item 20 on the diagram)... ... however my rod seems to have a 'rear' bush (16) at the front and a 'front' bush (13) at the rear? The replacements I bought seem to be in agreement. Am I right in thinking that a normal bus has the shuttlecock with the metal ring fitted to the front end? My shift rod has one hole drilled at the front end (to fit the all plastic bush) and two holes, 90 degrees apart at the rear ( to fit the bush with the metal clip). What do I fit and where do I fit it? Help!
