CTECK MXS 3.6 CHARGER

Hi everyone.
Just a couple of questions on my CTECK 3.6 MSX charging unit.
1. It's gets extremely hot and only only shows half charge?
2. It has a switch just below it as shown in the photo with a red cover. I have no idea why or what it does?.
Appreciate any advice.

:lol: :lol: I don't think anybody knows what it switches on and off. You will just have to try it out unfortunately.
By the looks of the wiring what with shrink wrap on it , it may suggest it belongs to either the heater or if you have a leisure battery
system control. Saying that nowadays you just can't tell. If the charger is looking after the leisure battery then possibly the battery is on
the wrong setting. Read the instructions on this link below.

It's on the correct setting for the leisure battery, just that it's gets hot and stays on half full.. The switch which below it is coming from the charger just need to know its function.. Appreciate your help thanks

What size is your leisure battery? The 3.6 is for charging up to about 75ah and maintaining up to 120ah. If you are trying to charge anything over 75ah you might want the mxs 5 or 7

That switch looks to me as though there are 4 wires going into it - it could be for switching between 240v and 12v depending on whether you’re using hookup, or relying solely on your leisure battery. Some trial and error with a multimeter will confirm what it’s function is.
