CTECK MXS 3.6 CHARGER

Hi everyone.
Just a couple of questions on my CTECK 3.6 MSX charging unit.
1. It's gets extremely hot and only only shows half charge?
2. It has a switch just below it as shown in the photo with a red cover. I have no idea why or what it does?.
Appreciate any advice.
