Travelling home on Friday the offside transmission end cv joint came adrift. Needed a recovery back home to my local garage who will look at it on Tuesday. It seems that several/all of the bolts have sheared. The cv joint is not very old, having only done about 10k miles.
Assuming I need to replace the joint and bolts what make would you go for. I would prefer to avoid the usual suspects and have seen some febi bilstein ones. I would prefer to pay for the best available. Also I am sure that there were none of the spacer brackets on. I have seen that Butties bits do bolts, spacers and will drill the heads to take locking wire.
Any advice and supplier name would be much appreciated.

The brackets help spread the load out but you also need schnorr washers under the bolt heads. They help stop them from becoming loose.
