Deluxe Window Rubbers Please Please Read This!!!!!

Bought a complete deluxe window rubber kit about a week ago(with the chrome inserts) From (C&C)custom and comercial :mrgreen: .It was a bundle kit that included front n rear screen rubbers, and the 4 side windows.Straight after action my 70 Bay is off to the body shop for some work on the front panel 8) .At this time all the windows are coming out and the new rubbers are being fitted Today whilst looking at the rubber set ive been sent i realised that they wont fit :evil: .The front and rear screen ones are good. The problem is the rubbers they have sent are for standard glass, my Deluxe has 3/4 glass with opening 1/4 windows on all side windows except the offside rear window(its lhd, sliding door on the right hand side)which is standard glass i presume to stop damage or injury if the sliding door is opend with the rear 1/4 glass open if you see what i mean.since i got home i have been through back issues of volksworld,ultra & Camper & bus mags.All the deluxes have the same window layout which tells my this is all standard on this model.Spoke to them today n gotta wait till monday for the manager to get back to see what can be done.At best im looking at a 20% handling charge n at worst im looking at thats wot you orderd n lump it .Surely if i orderd a deluxe rubbers that is wot i should have(3/4 rubbers on the sides)? if im wrong please correct me,if im right please tell me.Dont realy wand standard glass but if they refuse to take these rubbers back i dont have an option as i cant afford for these to sit in the box for all time.Rich

I have a factory Deluxe with the original windows and trims and mine doesnt have any opening quarterlights other than those on the cab doors, you will find that deluxes came with various glass combos.

Ive dealt with C&C before and have never had any probs changing stuff, they are pretty OK generally.

Thanks,thats all i needed to know.Ive naver had probs with them before either.will see how it goes monday.Want to keep my opening 1/4 windows so hopefully theyl play a fair game even if it is my fault

i think when they say standard it means without chrome inserts and deluxe is with chrome inserts,not the layout of the windows.

if they wont take them back you can always sell on here to people who have deluxes or going down the deluxe route and want full windows etc..

Rich, i will buy the spares and inserts and clips from you, im not sure if you have to cut the chrome insert to the correct length yourself? or they come in precut lenghts? as long as you could assure me what you were selling would completely fit the three rear windows, id be happy

I'm doing the same thing but my rear quarters are shot so im replacing with one piece glass, the center rear windows are being replaced with devon louvered on both sides as well.

if you wanted a deluxe rear 1/4 window i have one i would sell you with a brand new seal for the offside( righthand/drivers) your for £55 plus postage if your interested chrome is spotless like new..

Right,the rubbers are in the post winging theri way back to ware they are from,hoping to loose the handling charge as well.Dependant on the managers discression when they arive. :mrgreen: We will see :idea:

C&C got my parcel today and are sending out the new ones.They will be with me tomorrow. Getting v expensive now.Felt feint today handing over my bank details :?
