Hi all
Does anyone know where I can get hold of replacment edging trim for the cupboards, wardrobe etc? Also wondering if you can get the original pattern material for the bunks anywhere?
Thanks.

Have you tried calling Dormobile?
http://www.dormobile.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The website is out of date but the company is still operating. I know they do some stuff although I doubt they still do the trim but worth a shot - they may be able to point you in the right direction. Failing that then you may need to get secondhand and cannibilise that. As it happens I may be getting rid of bits of my Dormobile interior (cupboards only) but not just yet but if you're interested?
As for the material, you could try an upholsterers -again maybe see if Dormobile can provide details?
Alternatively ebay:
have a look at this item: 140272574959 - £400 for Dormi interior.
Hope this helps

Another idea....I was just at South West Splitz picking up an engine bay lid and they had some dormobiles there with interiors so you could maybe have a look at that option? Not sure what qulaity you're looking for so it's difficult to advise. I know there was a sorry looking dormobile there that may be just past restoration that had the trim but it was in a similar state to mine - slightly yellowing/ stained.
You could always go the cleaning up route and try some lemon juice/ white vinegar or whatever route....no idea if these will work but having a Kim and Aggie (How Clean is Your House) moment...

Have seen the trim bits before, but for the life of me can't remember - thought I'd saved the side as a favourite,
but I haven't. :|
Will see if I can find it again!

Hey Guys
Thanks for the advice. sounds like many people have had the same issues with interior trim. I will give Dormobile a call and see if I have any luck with them. Will let you all Know the outcome.

I am not looking for a spotless interior but just want to make the original one as tidy as I can. The Kids are going on and on about when can they go in the bunks and all I want is to get the van all one colour!

pretty sure you cant get it! mines the same....yellow from the sun and brittle as are the door handles.... cant get them either....but i saw 5 on ebay a while ago but they went for big bucks....some dude had hade some made up especially but it cost!

bugs me also as these are the things that let my interior down!

Hey Rob,
The closest I've found is this:
Evilbay but their trim is dark or mid grey, and not the cream you need. May be worth a question to them to see if they can get it in cream, never know there could be a market for it to all you dormobile owners.

old thread alert!

tried the trim off ebay and from grass routes leisure and they are the same and wrong!

apart from it being the wrong colour and far to T4 looking modern rubbish, the barbed insert that goes into the door is far to small (thin and shallow) and is the wrong offset on the door. So the only way i can see to get this to fit is to fill the existing channel and use a router with the correct bit to cut a smaller channel.

if anyone wants to buy several metres cheap, let me know. i can also send samples if someone has any ingenious ideas.

I am going to start a new thread, because i am thinking of having some made to original spec.
