I am trying to sell a watch on Ebay and i have had 3 people now ask me if i post to Italy. This obviously sparked a doubt in my mind so i Googled the issue and it turns out there are a lot of items that never arrive at destination in that country and therefore a lot of claims against sellers. Apparently Spain is the same. Now some of that could be the postal services there as you cannot track to the door apparently (which i always do) Anyone had any issues with this?

I always insist on uk bidders only now had a few probs in the past with pain in the arse buyers,
Used to be could I post to someone's uncle nkirrawawa etc in Nigeria, but it seems Italy is the new one to avoid due to the claims, and I've noticed quite a few sellers putting "no post to Italy" in the description lately....

Ive posted some bike bits to italy no problem, most expensive being about £60, made sure that the package is signed for and insured for more than it worth, also find out what the cost is (signed & insured) and email them adding an extra £5er or so for your trouble

just seems strange that this item (an army watch) has attracted so much interest from Italy. I have heard you cannot get a parcel signed for in Italy? i insist on tracking everything i sell on Ebay as i have been caught in the past.

Does look abit sus to be honest, at the end of the day if you don't want to post to italy you don't have to, just update your listing (if u can) saying no overseas bidders, if they win & pay, refund, go with second bidder, personally not had a problem with italy......singapore & Thailand now thats a can of worms!!
