Empi Raiders on 1969 - rears don't fit

Hey guys and girls

I bought a set of 15" Raiders from a Beetle guy and the rears don't physically fit - the centres foul on on the 46mm hub nut.

I've done some searching and can't find anything on this... hence this topic/question.

Are spacers my only option?

Think you need to have the casting on the drum machined down

Lots of work needed to get Radars to fit. The rear drums need to machined so that the wheel sits flat, and the stub axle and nut needs to be turned down as well.

I had some that just went on with spacers
