Engine Lid 72 Crossover

Can someone advise if the Engine lid on a 72 Crossover is different to a 72-79 Engine lid. I know some have hooks for the hinge but the ones that have hinges will they fit straight on. If not what's the actual differnce for the 72?

They're one year only, the shape of the raised profile is different, but any engine lid from 1968MY - 1976MY will fit.
The ones with hooks are 1977MY - 1979MY.

Graham at FBI had a 72 only engine lid for sale at Volksworld yesterday. It needed a bit of work on the internal frame but was pretty solid. They are pretty hard to find

I didn’t sorry. The 68-71 ones were £250 iirc so prob similar as they were really nice. Nice one - where did you find it?
