engine lid hinge

Hi as anybody tried to drill out the pin in the engine lid hinge in place, tried to get the screws out but somebody had been at them many years ago and now the only way it seems is to drill them out and use a bolt extractor, any ideas would be greatly appreciated Thanks. p.s. I have a flexi drive that fits in my drill.

If the pins are worn the hinges will be as well. Just buy some good quality hinges and replace.
