Engine support bar moustache type

Hey guys, my support bar has 3 different length spacers formed on it, yet the holes on my new (secondhand) engine all protrude the same amount, am I missing something? Should there be some packing spacers in place, or have I bought an engine from a different vehicle?

Engine stamp says AAS093810X and as far as I am aware it is an old VEGE reconditioned unit.

The engine code seems to be from a later bus (mine is a 71) so does this mean I need a different support bar or some kind of adapter?
