Field of Dreams - Aircooled Exclusive!

Keep your diaries free for 30/08-01/09, I am organising an aircooled only show to be held at York Knavesmire (the Racecourse - almost right in the heart of York City centre!). As part of this we will be incorporating Dub Tech North during the day on the Saturday and Sunday and holding tech talks, starting with the basics such as servicing but up to the show we will take requests from people who have specific things they would like to look at.

There will be music on the Saturday night from a fantastic local band (or 3), of course there will be traders - we want to keep it aircooled so if you know any traders that trade from an aircooled vehicle then please let me know or point them in my direction.

Not sure where they`re coming from but hey ho! :mrgreen: I think it`s a fab idea and I`ll do everything I can to get there and I`ll throw the word around as well. Haha, thanks - to be fair there was only the odd one, the rest of them were very supportive of it. No matter what you do there will be some that don't like it or have something to say. It's like I said on there, there are so many shows and I wanted something different for this one. I have a dog and there are shows that don't allow dogs - I don't go to them it's that simple, I have no complaints about it as there are plenty of other shows that I can go to. As somebody on TLB said last night, maybe a bit of diversity is what the scene needs right now - too many shows that are the same, nice to have a specialist show for a change

Thanks for your support, I hope you can make it. I'm just costing it up and working out the ticketing system etc. Facebook and website almost done.

I seem to recall a lot of posts in 2012 bemoaning the fact that most shows are dominated (or appear to be) by water cooled buses, especially 'builders vans'. So this ticks a lot of boxes for me and it is in my show calendar.

And York is a stunning location for a show.

Beautiful part of the country and I for one like the idea of an aircooled only show, there are plenty of other shows for people to go to that want to see water cooled machines.
