Fitting a Devon Pop Top

G'Day,

I am at the stage where I am going to reassemble the roof, with new bellows, seals etc. Does anybody here know the correct steps this should be done - or is there anything to watch for.

its fairly straight forward, the reverse of removal. you may find that some of the fixing screws were rusted out when you took it off? redrill and use larger heads as it will ease fitting and removal if again.

Did you rerivet the center section? a trick i used was to cover the rivets with silicon underneath and apply a large adhesive pvc sheet to prevent any leaks. if its going to leak it will be the centre section rivets or where it meets the rubber. It wouldnt do any harm to use a sealing compound around the rubber seal on the underside, both sides of the seal, as well.

Cheers, No vinal top - however we did silicone the rivets.

I'll have to get some sealant.
