Fitting new solex carb....

Is this a straight forward job or should I let a garage do it? (will it need setting up?)

Was going to attempt it at home, but don't want to if its not going to run properly and end up having it stuck in my car port.

Its a new one from Machine 7.

Fitting is easy, but it probably will need to be set up to get it absolutely right.

I would do it myself, its pretty easy and plenty of youtube vids if not.

I bought one from machine 7 it ran well straight out the box, if your going for the genuine rebuilt one that is.

Yep, straight forward to fit it yourself. The trick is getting it tuned right. I put a decent fully recon Solex one from Riverhaus on mine recently, read the book, watched youtube etc Ended up setting it up way to rich by the look of the plugs after a good run. Adjusted it again and plugs look good but still not quite right. Will get there in the end.
