Niagara Blue and Pastel White - Very Solid Original Bus



Engine

• 1600cc engine - great runner, very reliable, regularly serviced
• Twin Weber 34 ICTs
• Accuspark electronic ignition
• Accuspark double vacuum single advanced distributor
• Accuspark electronic points
• Accuspark 3-point copper core spark plugs
• Accuspark high performance plug leads
• Alternator conversion
• New battery

Interior

• 9-seater in original black basket weave vinyl
• Front seats are torn but useable – covers will need replacing
• Rear seats are in good condition
• All trim complete, including rare rubber panels on bottom of front bulkhead and under front seats
• Rear jail bars
• Side jail bars
• Funeral bar on rear seat
• Front deluxe door air vents are present, but are cracked
• Heaters – front, middle and rear all in working condition
• 12v electronic washer conversion using original switch
• Original stereo (not wired up)
• Modern stereo in glove box
• 6.5” speakers in cab
• All deluxe ashtrays present
• All grab handles present
• 3 bank cigarette socket in glove box
• Rubber mats – front and rear
• Original handbrake rubber present, but split
• Original steering wheel has a couple of cracks
• New windscreen
• Heated rear window electrics and switch present, although it doesn’t have a heated rear window
• ‘Please pass sign’ present but not working
• Sun visors and headlining in good condition (no tears)

Bodywork/Exterior

• Slight knock on the front bottom panel – been filled in the past but not a huge issue
• Some stone chips
• Original deluxe rubber / chrome window trim all round
• Deluxe air vent trim
• Original chrome badge
• Deluxe inner vent embellishments
• White bumpers with over riders and steps
• Aerial
• All doors in good condition (slight surface rust only)
• Number plate light rubber could do with replacing
• Could do with a new back door seal
• Original VW script on rear
• Battery tray and rear ¼ panel replaced
• Rear bumper has the original splashguards
• Westfalia tow bar (manufactured by Gadget) with 7-pin socket
• Reverse lights wired up
• Red lenses (European light clusters – indicators working independently to side light and brake light)
• Locks work off original key (although this doesn’t fit the sliding door)
• Opening quarters all present and in good working condition (front cab and three in the rear)
• Sliding door has a new seal
• There are a few dents here and there, but overall the body is solid with the exception of a slight hole on the offside rear panel
• Guttering on the nearside has some damage, but the replacement panel is included
• Underneath has all the original paint and underseal – no rot
• All new running gear in 2014/15 including:
Front brake discs and pads
Hubs
Bearings
Idler pin bush
Track rod ends
Ball joints
Calipers
Rear drums and shoes
Rear cylinders
• Original steel wheels with commercial grade tyres
• Accelerator linkage from Buttys Bits (engineered)
• Chassis, outriggers, front arches are all in great condition

This is a reliable, much loved gem of a bus, which we are gutted to be selling… but a one-owner Devon calls… so we have to say goodbye to Phoenix after five years together :(
It would be great if "Phoenix" remained an original unmolested bus, as these are quite a rare find these days… especially in this condition. Ideal for a large family!

MOT until June 2016, but will put a full 12 months on.

I think the price is in The right area. As summer approaches I think you will sell easy enough.
