Is this a bodge up? What is the part the looks like something has been cut off? I'm not at all clued up In this area.. :lol: :msn4:

Hey Bear,

Yes it looks like it's been hacked off, this is where usually the top and bottom bump stops are attached to.
I can't upload pics at the moment, but i;m sure if you do a quick google search you'll find pics.
Does your other side have the bump stops?
It usually doesnt extend much further maybe an inch or two and its open also to fit the bumpstops.

Both sides are the same mate , why would someone do this? The van has been lowered slightly

Because they probably believed that the arms were hitting the bump stops, when a red 9 kit is fitted you have to remove them, I shouldn't worry about it.
