I think csp direct are around £853?

Hmmmm interesting 8) is that plus shipping?

Even at a show with a vwh 10% discount they are at £886 there

1049 euros includes 19%vat, plus shipping on top of that.

On today's exchange that's £853.30 plus shipping

I'm sure they might do a little bit less that that for a group buy?

So heritage seem to charge roughly 15% more than dealing with csp directly, (not including your 5% discount) if I'm working that out right?

Guys

Heritage have to pay wages, rent, bills, infrastructure and so on. They have to be there all the time so they can offer services when we need them and offer us a discount. They have to make some money!

I completely understand , I'm just trying to save a few bob (which will probably be spent at heritage on something else!) on what is a big lump of cash to splash out. It's probably better to deal with heritage anyway considering csp are in Germany I assume?

I'd be up for a group buy from wagenswest at the end of the season, if anyone else is thinking that way. Would love to send the business Heritage way, any thoughts Alex? I take it they are not one of your normal suppliers?

as I've got a crossover, I'd be looking at these:
http://www.wagenswest.com/partstore/index.php/disk-brakes/1968-79-front-disk-brakes/1971-79-bus-front-wilwood-caliper-kit.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

mmmmm, sexual.

Cheers
Mark

Those discs do look awesome, seems a shame to cover them up with a big shiny vw hubcap though!

Il definitely be up for a group buy at the end of the season (seems to be the best time for all of us) that gives us plenty if time to try and strike up a good deal somewhere, I've just e mailed csp to see if they will work with us on the price for a big order. If heritage fancy offering a deal for group buy (from any supplier) then I'm all ears. :D

Mine has had a disc brake conversion. The previous owner Rippers did it. I believe he got them from Boxwagen and were cheaper than CSP.

I agree mike, but it's the same bills I have to contend with at work, and if one of my customers gets a cheaper quote than mine for the same product, they'll go for the cheaper price, all we are doing here is exploring our options, no one will pay more for something if there is a cheaper alternative.

And at the moment heritage is winning in my eyes anyway they offer 10% at shows as the norm making it on par with csp direct with out having to order from another country  and this is an upgrade for this winter so I will be taking advantage of it at skeg Vegas unless something else crops up

I've just spoken to Nate at Wagenswest, and he is interested in us organizing a group buy and will give us some discount, but not willing to elaborate on this until we can let him know just what we want. He will also ship to the UK on a pallet.
For anybody interested, I have no problem organizing this later on in the year, and will look into import duties etc.

The one thing he did say was that some parts are made to order, so we will need to allow time for this to happen.

Over to you lot, if there is enough interest, I'll set up a new thread for this

Cheers

I put on a futbus conversion last year and am really please with it. Uses merc vented disks and mark 3 golf pads (I think). Might be a viable alternative if they're still available. For similar money it seemed like it would have better capacity/cooling.

Just a thought....

Do any of these conversions add track width and if so how much ?
