Saw a thread on here (Quite a while ago) about an inline fuel cut off solenoid that would work on a standard Carb'd T2. Universal jobby i believe.
Anyone remember that post, i cant seem to find it.
May have been in Tech???

Cheers Harlequin.
Thats the one :)
Going to order one i think.
Anyone else got one?

thinking this might be a god investment after getting stuck in a jam on the M42 today some of the yank muscle coming back up from santa pod had an engine fire, the look on the woman's face as she stood around with the police said more than words ever could.
Everything to prevent that is worthwhile.

I have one fitted as part of an LPG kit and it works well. The one I have is Petrol shut-off valve Price: £12.55 (Excluding VAT at 20%)

I bought 1 when there was a group buy a few years ago, couldn't tell you what its like though as its sat next to the group buy firetec system i bought last year!

Got one on order.
Guessing you could connect it to the + side of the coil so it shuts off when you kill the ignition or have a hidden switch for extra security.
As long as the quality is good it'll be worth its weight in gold.

I've got mine connected to the coil so that it operates when the ignition is switched on, and via a hidden switch. So hidden I forget to turn it on sometimes.
Did that years ago with a Mk1 Escort i used to own.Went out and baught it a new battery after id fitted a kill switch

Turned up today and looks like a good quality part :) .
Going to fit it friday evning and repace the ruel pipes whilst im at it.
