Fuel filler pipe removal

Hi All,

Got my tank drained and out tonight. Only part that's proving awkward is the rubber section of fuel filler pipe that seems to be stuck fast to the metal collar section.

Undoing the 3 small bolts that hold the metal collar section in place, should you be able to pull both the collar and rubber section through outside or does the rubber section need to be removed from inside :0(

Also.... Cleaning inside of tanks. I can see some surface rust in mine. What do people use?

Undo the pipe at the tank end, the three bolts inside the filler cap and it will pull out with some manouvering.
