Our Bus (Budgie) RHD 1969 tin top, is off to the paint shop at last
just thought i would post a few photos

All the hard work is done!
Just the fun stuff to do when you get it back from the shop :D

(You might want to input your m-plate info on "m-plate decoder" website and check the manufacture date of your van as it looks like a late70> model)

Naked bus!
What colour you going for?
And what vehicle is that lurking in your garage - looks like a bmw bubble car 8)

No Not Orange and White will be back from the paint shop in couple of weeks will post more photos then
and yes it is a BMW isetta ( Rhd 3 wheeler, 300 plus 1963 ) may take it to a few Vw shows when the bus is finished after all it is "Aircooled"

And the Bus is a February 1969 According to "m-plate decoder"

Bubble car is actually a 1961. The original plate is now on a 1968 Red Maserati (not been able to find out the model). This was done in the early 1980's and the DVLA would not issue age related plates for anything pre-1963. So it was issued with a 1963 plate. They will now but Vinvan has just not got round to it.

It was a joint restoration with myself that took 7 years  but parts are a lot harder to find and the body was in a terrible state. Parts seem easier to get now but still nowhere near as easy as a bus. The peoples reactions when you are driving it is astonishing

BTW Vinvan - are you intending to post the as painted pics to enlighten fellow Earlbay members to the colour scheme or are you gonna tell em? :p
