Guess the part

I thought I would stick this part up for all you afficienadoes out there to guess the part. Sorry about the picture, crap camera.

I took my bus in for its MOT today, FaAIILLL I knew the horn wasn't working as i had unplugged it as it was doing my head in due to it constantly going off, I guessed it was a worn wire or some such but i couldn't be bothered sorting it and I thought the MOT guy would just ignore it, anyway i found the lttle plastic bit in the picture hiding at the bottom of the steering coluum, so pushed it back in and horn now behaving itself whoopee saves me dragging the steering coluum out - again Unfortunately that wasn't the only thing though but all minor, water bottle needs a pump :shock: Split rubber on ball joint needs replacing, I'll try and get one in the morning and the firking hazards which I'm hoping will be a blown fuse? Though the indicators works so I need to check that ought, I think the hazard sides requires the permanent live so we will see.

So, all in all not too bad apart from I got a speeding ticket doing 43 in a 30 - insane i know i need locking up for my own safety :sad0049:

It is indeed the steering column insulating ring. There is a cutout for it at the top of the column and the steering lock (I think) should run through the hole. The hole should also have a lip on the inside of it to keep it in place when re-assembling. They have a habit of dislodging whilst going back together!
