Hello I've been trying to remove the headlamps out of my 71 westy but am having a few problems. Both have three securing screws at the front , is it just the simple task of removing these or am I missing something?

remove the one screw that is vertically central on the inside of the rim .. (if that makes sense!) ..

Don't mess with the others or your beam alignment will be out ..

When the screw is removed the whole light unit should push off twards the outside of the van .. may need a persuasive nudge with the heal of your hand ..

Hilly

Another thing you can try is putting a thin screwdriver in the hole where the mounting screw was and giving it a wiggle up and down. Usually it just helps the lamps to twist off.

Noticed your in lincoln, where abouts? If your stuck just give us a shout.

Just got the van back on the drive . At first light I,ll go out and give it a go. I'm in Navenby whereabouts are you ?

yeah don't whatever you do touch the other two screws

 i undid them to the point at which they fell apart in my hands
