We are in the middle of our short tour of France. Today for the first time ever one of the spark plugs has popped out whilst driving. Screwed back in then about an hour later popped out again. Leaving engine to cool down and then will see if it can be tightened just a little bit more - any other thoughts?

Ask one of the french guys about helicoils or drop into a local auto shop or garage....sorry not sure what the franglaise is for helicoil .....bobine, spirale is the closest I have found and you may get a few funny looks

Hi David ..

The thing that sprung to mind to me is the two part 'metal repair' filler you can buy ..

might get you round the rest of the trip .. but it might mean head off when you get home ..

Good luck with it ..
