I want to remove the dash pod so I can try and remove the dash top foam trim that has the grab handle on it as the Vynal is lifting .its a 69 bay .Ive tried to see how they come off but can't figure it ?
How do you remove the air vent levers on the dash ?

just pull on them, they may be stiff though. there is a sort off sprung piece of steel that holds them in place.

I remove the glove box & radio for access.
The levers are held by plastic fasteners like pop rivets.
I use a 7mm socket to push over the end & close them in enough to pop out - & fall somewhere you can't reach. Pull out the whole lever along with spring tensioner.
Juggle the levers to reach them all in turn.
