my 69 has probably original cab doors going at the lower edge as usual - can they be patched up effectively anyone know ? (I'll try and get some pics to post soon). I'd rather avoid having to get new ones ...

It would depend on how good the rest of the frame is. I wouldn't bother with a repair skin, they are always a crap shape and usually made of steel so thin you can read through it. It would be easy enough to fabricate a piece if it is only a small area. Pics would help.
