the good bad and ugly week last week..

The good no great news is the van is back on the road its got a MOT cert once again! :D :D :D

Props go to Si at NOSVW, outstanding service and connot be recommended enough. Fair pricing and great attention to work. After being stung so much and bad experiences with other "specialists" its honestly great to get a garage that knows there beans, does great work at a fair price thats consistent, after using them a few times now every time been a pleasure. thanks SI .. oh and thanks for not being critcal of my handywork!

The bad.. The "brand new engine" is still causing pain still not running right.. made it only a few miles from NOS and had to be trailered home :( will this saga ever end :( .. I'll be getting it over to Si and luke at NOS very soon for sure to do the job right and fix all the mistakes the have been made by another company building this motor :(

The ugly..

Ride height.. I like low but my road and curb wont allow it :( grrr would it be wrong to up and move to a new house with a lower curb just so i can get at least 1 pline low on the back! lol

..tbc

Hey 6,, Whatever you do, `DON`T` lower your bus. It`s a bit like smoking,, it starts to get addictive. I started off with the T Haus dropped spindles just to get the bus in and out of the garage, then it was coilovers and lower profile tyres which needed different wheels  Then slamworks rear adjustable plates and I`m thinking `yeah that`s ok` next thing you know, you start hatching plans in your head to go `just a little more` and working out how to avoid that speed bump that you have to go over every day and the practicalities like I won`t be able to get up my back lane all just fade into insignificance. I`m struggling with this at the moment because I went to a show over the weekend, and then all the dopey ideas start flooding back in. So best advise is don`t get started, :msn4:

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, It`ll end in tears !!! 8)

yeah already on that slippy sloap.. had to fettle with it just to get it off the drive.. now it needs teakingto get a good ride.. i can so see myself still tweaking this time next year.. maybe i should just learn from you i know its the right sensible choice! but then.. they look soo coll low !

I'd add a vote to that too. They sorted out my rough-running carbs last year (that someone else hadn't installed properly) quickly and cheaply :D

is that NOSVW just outside wimborne?

my dad is thinking of using them for his t25.

was the engine from a local vw parts supplier? i'm thinking of the one at three legged cross

yup, take it there you wont regret it

i'm thinking of the one at three legged cross
yeah, still trying to get through to them, spent all day re-dialing and leaving messages. i know thye prolly busy just frustrating when the instruction is "if you get a prob dont use it call us" so i do and dont use it.. cant get hold of them etc, just bad for me as its my only transport and i got 4 grand tied up in this motor now.. </ grr sorry will stop ranting>

that just is my expereice like all purchases do your research im sure there are many reviews on both sides good and bad and make your mind up.

sorry to here about your engine dude, has it total let go?
thanks for the good feed back, we aim to please.

cheers simon
