limited milage

Hey guys, I am hunting around for insurance at the moment and everyone wants to limit me to 5000 a year. How many miles are people generally getthrough a year?

id say less than that but then mine been of the road since 2weeks of buying it lol but i only intend to use it from april/may till october and most of that will be weekend milage

Unless you're doing Europe that should be more than enough mileage.
I use mine all year and get in just under the 5000 mile mark (even with a speedo that over reads due to smaller tyres....).

I used to have mine at 5000 miles but got nowhere near that so on the advice of
my insurance company I brought it down to 4000 miles which in turn reduced
my premium 8). Must admit I only use the van from April to September though.

I had mine set at 5000 and have been using my bus since march, going to shows, 3 holidays etc and only racked up 3800 miles..!!

Cheers guys, i am intending to go off for at least one serious euro trip, plus many runs to the waves so took up HIC who were offering 8000 miles which should be enough. Also i tend to be averse of the cheapest of options, big fan of you get what you pay for.
