Have been browsing around and like others on here am looking out for a bus to replace my last project,

After a solid example with sound body work, I spent 8 years restoring my last car before selling to fund this so really could do without any welding/painting again :| - mechanicals and interior I can cover but would need to be MOT'd and a runner

Ideally a westfalia/camper conversion with pop top - LHD import preferred - also consider a tin top (I prefer the look but need to fit family and 3 small kids in at some point!) and have been scoping out panel vans/micro buses but would need to factor in the cost to convert myself in the budget,

Target around 9K - thought I'd post on here if anyone has anything suitable or can recommend one - attempting to bide my time until the right bus comes along!

Thanks,

Larry

My 1970 will be coming up for sale within the month,

its a Usa dry climate import with any welding done that was needed and more if it started to look suspect, full painted underneath, and going for full respray in the next week or so, interior is retrimed and will have a new poptop canvas fitted. new wiring loom, rubbers and lights. many rare westy accesories including original awning, cooker, awning light, double bed in poptop, cab hammock..

full thread can be found here..

will be looking around the £9500 mark finished mot'd registerd and tax disc on to

Thanks for the replies guys - nice looking crossover but to be honest I'm looking for a small light EB

I'll keep an eye out for the bus herbie when it's done, was reading the thread the other night and it's coming along well

I did see this http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15402 and gutted I don't have the extra cash - think it's made my mind up as that would be my ideal bus - so looking specifically for a white (is it lotus white?) westy LHD import :)

Maybe does'nt completely fit your bill, but you never know.

Cheers

Hi ben

thanks for taking the time to reply - looks like a solid bus - hopefully though I'll be getting one soon as graham @ midland earlybay is currently on the case with a White westie so I'm likely to be busless for only a short time longer!

Good luck with the sale :)
