lost power..

a friend of mine has a 1600 68 bay thats lost power when driving, he cant get it to go above 25mph..

hes asked if anyone would know the timing marks for it

It could be a dodgy fuel pump.

I had one that when I got to 40mph that was it! Puzzled me for ages, but put a new one on and hooray :lol:

Which 1600 engine is it specifically, single port or twin port. Is it fitted with a stock or 009 dissy?

Your carbs could be worn, float valves not working properly or out of balance if twin carb'd.

Where are you based?

tintop, he is a friend of the family who lives in wales, he doesnt come on the forums and tries to fix his bus by himself but i think he needs a little help ;)
