I had a coming together with a Sherpa van on the way to work on Saturday and my off side mirror hit his mirror and smashed up the actual mirror.
Is it possible to get the mirror on its own as every thing else seems fine and I am loathed to dispose of quality chrome!!!
cheers Paul
hope I've got sides right, mines lhd and would of been the drivers side in a rhd....

I'll take that as a no then!!
Candc have replied with a no!
so,are there good replacements out there or is an original one best?
Anyone got a good old one for sale?
cheers Paul

I'm quite tempted by the Brazilian versions (mirrors) purely because it looks like I could pull it apart and add indicators and heaters :)

But I'd have to colour coordinate it too.

a good glass place could make up a replacement if they arent available off the shelf

What about lorry mirrors :?: seen a few with them on and im sure you could take out the windscreen on the next sherpa you hit with them.

Heritage do a stainless set less than £20 each, and C&C Stainless have been recomended to me as well, same sort of price. you may wish to just have cheaper versions in case it happens again, in which case Ebay - £15 a pair. also there are some N.O.S ones on the samba for £45 each! I've not held the different ones in my hands so I'm not sure on finish but there are a few options. :)
hth - Cheers - Rob

Think there's a post in Technical from Micko asking for the dimensions of splitty sun visors. His neighbour makes mirrors cut to design - Funky Mirrors (http://www.funkymirrors.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I think) - maybe worth looking at that avenue see if they can cut a mirror to your size...?

Albeit they do internal bathroom mirrors etc but if you can supply someone with a vehicle mirror bigger than the bay it could be cut to size - maybe?

I have in the past bought just the glass for my golf wing mirror from someone off ebay, could be worth a hunt.
