I think my bus would have been managing about 2mpg if i hadnt spotted the fuel leak this evening. Earlier on i replaced the right hand heat exchanger, this was a job in itself having to chisel and split the rusted cyl head nuts off and luckily the stud threads were ok, at the same time i noticed the fuel hose at the base of the fuel tank was damp but didnt smell of petrol, gave it a wiggle and all seemed ok, job done i thought.  Popped out later to put the cover on an smelled the petrol, nice puddle of fuel on my tarmac, or what was tarmac!!, i have just spent the last 2 hours draining the tank and the bus is going nowhere until i get some new hose, could have been a lot worse if i hadn't spotted it
