It has 944 brakes and early fuchs, and This winter it will receive a 2.2 flat six and a type-1 gearbox…..

Hello and welcome, nice bus 8)

V.Nice 8)
Show us the progress with the engine transplant please

Looks nice...How did you take that first pic. What settings etc. It looks awesome.
Cameraman standing still on in a ride?

Thanks, glad you’re like it!
Well for the first picture, I don’t know, it was my friends 10 years old son that snapede the pic with a Nikon D40 in an other early bay!

I will keep your updated with the progress, I have been measured the gearboxes and it should be easy to fit the type-1 gearbox,
15 sec… Hmmm, wouldn’t be bad would it?

Thanks, no unfortunally maybe next year…

But I have a small up date on my car, and some pics
Here is a pic of the type-1 gearbox modified to fit the 68
I used drive flange from an 181/Thing to match the Axels of the Bay
Then I made a shifter coupler 1.5 cm longer than stock,
Moved the clutch cable slightly. And made a longer gearbox mount..

Works Great! 2800 rpm. At 100 km/h top speed 190 km/h
New front Wheels 4.5” Fuchs….
Btw the flat six delivers 141 hp and 201 nm not bad for a 2.2!

I have also mounted central locking, nice!

Mounted 7 cm dropspindels so I have a descent ride height..

And for the winter, air shocks all around

Great colour 8)

Those exhausts look like they could do some serious damage to passers-by..... ;)
