Hi All,

After been here for a while so I think this is the right time to start my thread.

My name is PAT and I m from Bangkok, Thailand... almost 10 hrs flying from here to UK.

I have had this dc since March 2004. He is my first dc, after been searched for double cab for many years and finally I got it.

I spent £1800 for took his home and another 3 years with £500 for documents and DOT (we call MOT here as department of transportation)

The dc came with no any document so I got spent 3 years searching for it. The vehicle document is the most important here... long story.

Been parked in my shed for 3 years and I was so happy when I got all the document.

The dc was ex-military vehicle.

If you think, there are too much weird food in Thailand, you're not ready to LAO :)

Thailand is a very hot country and I think it's just 100 kms far from the sun T_T

So, A/C unit is very important.

I love the dc so much. A day in the new year of 2012 the dc got an accident so It's time for him to go for Full restoration.

Hello Pat, nice looking crewie!!!!
Did you by any chance supply an 11 window Splitty to a guy called Barry here in the north East of England???

Hi Pat, your crew cab or double cab looks brilliant and I love the colour, it dosen`t look so military now does it
The VW scene looks to be alive and well over there too. I have a cousin lives in Thailand with his family, I can`t remember where it is but I think it`s an hour or two north of Bangkok, he has an engineering factory there that does quite large engineering / steel works etc for all over the world. You have done a really nice job of making that panel and the AC fitting, it looks stock. I wish we needed AC over here but we don`t

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, We always want what we don`t have

Really nice DC and great that it is used a lot - keep the updates coming!

Barry brought his bus from Jerry in Suffolk and Jerry brought the Burry (Barry's bus) from me :)

This is the burry when she was here in Bkk. Barry might never seen this picture before cos I just found it.

Bad luck... we dont have acid dip here so the best way to get the paint off is sand blasting!

We use plastic media so dont worries about the warping.

Most parts like doors / gates and etc. I sent them to EDP factory. This is the result!

Some parts need to be ordered from States. I wish KlassicFab or Autocraft does it before I put the dc to do full resto.
