Hi There. Can anybody tell me if it is possible to manually adjust the negative camber ( i.e. decrease it ) on a Red 9 Design EZ rider twin wishbone front suspension unit . The reason being the one I have got fitted wears down quickly the inside rim of the two front tyres . I only get about 2,500 miles before they are illegal. In my mind if I can decrease the negative camber (i.e. bring the bottom of the wheels closer to the middle of the van.) It should stop the rapid wear of my front tyres from the inside edge ? Cheers ROG.

Funny you ask this as I have noticed mine are wearing in the inners as well.

I'll get hold of Simon at red9 and see what he says

Actually having had a quick look I think it will just be the big nut on the top ball joint, pretty sure that's the camber nut

Have you had the alignment checked out? As it could be excessive toe-in causing the wear rather than too much camber.

Hi there.
I really appreciate your messages the more info I can get the better . These are the 2nd pair of tyres to suffer the same fate . The whole story is after I had the red9design axle fitted after a total (shell sand blasted ) restoration 2500 miles later my front tyres failed the m.o.t. . I had 2 new Continentals fitted and the wheel alignment done by the local Chemix Autocentre . I even spoke to Simon at red9design who told me that " on factory fitted standard axles they are normally toed out but with the red9design it needs to be toed in by 4-6 minutes , thats about just under one quarter of a degree . I told the guys this at Chemix , so I thought job done . Noticed Friday tyres are going bald on the inside again, went down to Chemix to complain , I am booked in this week to look at it again , and probably two new Continentals . Happy days !!!!! I will let you all know how I get on.

Sounds like you’re already on it with regards to getting it checked. Will be interesting to see what the new alignment check reveals. What type of equipment are they using to check and adjust it - is it modern laser alignment as you tend to get a before and after print out with these?

Did you get a set up sheet with the red9 front axle, i would Be interested it that. With this sheet you can set up the wheels our go to a wheel allingment center. Maybe they can help you, it is a specialist job.
