Hey guys, so I'm a bit of a dilema I've been thinking of restoring my current westy campmobile interior but after looking further and the wardrobe and noticing it would need to be completely replaced should I bite the bullet and go for a nice SJH oak interior?

Then should I go for the window line type or a replacement campmobile style one?

Sorry, can't really help you because the choices are wide and everyone's taste is individual.

I would recommend looking at as many as possible before deciding which one suits your needs best.

These were my thoughts exactly but I am more worried that changing it all together would reduce its value as its less original

I would save the campmobile stuff everytime. I good joiner will be able to do wonders.

What he says ^^^^^^^ original for me too. There isn't much that can't be salvaged interior wise...... Spend your money on a good joiner if you haven't got the skills yourself. Westy interiors are about as good as it gets. :D

They take a bit of looking for, but Westy interior cabinets are usually possible to find second hand. If your wardrobe is toast then simply replace it.

I'd always go OG. :)

Can you not use the originals as patterns then reproduce them?

Worked wonders for my eriba interior

Plus one for originality unless it's totally past it ('IMHO', of course...)

Plus I would imagine an Oak one would be mighty heavy?

The oak one is basically just vaneer with a few solid doors, it is really nice but I was actually planning on relaminating the original ply and giving it a refresh before looking into this I just thought rather than spending the time doing it I could have something a little more different with minimal work...

It's a hard decision coz I really like the wood interiors that are in some splits like the sundials but I also like the earlier cherry coloured westy's

Good to see the consensus is originality though ;)

To tell the truth it's totally upto you, and what works with you. I had an original westy interior, sold it and got interior that suited our needs. I didn't think of resale value as I have no intention of selling, I changed it because when we went camping it didn't quite work for us so we made our way.
