Is there anywhere you guys use to get NOS parts or is it just a matter of hoping they pop up on forums/the samba?

BusOk and I think it is Evamclassics seem to have rip-off items....er sorry, NOS stuff :)

I originally would have agreed with that, but since every single 'reproduction' no matter the 'quality' has been utter *****, I'm not NOS all the way.

I can't afford NOS but I'm going 2nd hand parts on my bus from now on due to replacement parts being so crappy!!!

Tell me about it. I can't get over how poor some replacements I've bought have been.

Have you seen my thread??
Brake resovoir broke before it even made it on the road!!

I have to agree "some" reproduction parts are only good as paper weights or for throwing at someone....like the person who produced them
However for some its the only way to keep their bus on the road. What we need is a list of recommended suppliers of QUALITY reproduction parts and QUALITY service.

Second that ^^^ Ed sells items from time to time on here and other forums, he sources these items from all over the place and he sells them at a very reasonable price. he will even tell you if it won`t fit what you want it for  He is also one of natures gentleman and if he says it will fit then it will fit and visa versa he also pops into other ares of this forum to flag up things that will potentially end in disappointment or mechanical disaster. If you ever bump into Ed at a VW event, he will more than likely be trading off the back of his single cab bay flatbed / pick up. Have a good look at what he sells, and buy anything you see that will fit your bus because most of this stuff will not be made again and I personally guarantee you will not be robbed. I also guarantee that you have a very good chance of learning something you did not know about VWs or their parts or supply of parts. If you are looking for anything specific, find one of Eds posts and ask if he has it or can he get it .

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, What`s the opposite to `Rant over ??'
