I've just fitted a brake pad fitting kit (pins and springy thing!) as they were missing, and whilst in the process also found out that the piston retaining plates (the plate which rests inbetween the piston and pad) are also missing. VW Heritage, Machine7 and Coolair don't appear to stock them, and JK apparently have them but are out of stock. Any idea where else I should try for them, or am I safe to go for the "out of site out of mind approach" and carry on without them? Cheers.

Some vehicles don't have them fitted now. When I fit brake pads I put anti seaze compound on the back of pad between pad and calliper piston. No problems.
