Hi guys I have finally been able to get back on my bus, I am rebuilding the engine and have removed the oil pressure relief valves:

The top one with the valve is nearest the flywheel, but the other just has a longer spring and no valve. Is this correct or should they both be identical?

Engine is a 1600TP, Mexican case.

Stupid question, it was stuck in the case! This is what happens to your brain when you take a year off :(

Hi Yep you need to get back on your Van , been working on mine hoping to get it mot'd this summer :?:

Give the pistons a light polish with a fine scotch brite to remove any scoring marks. After that, if you have an m12 tap, use the tap to secure the piston and try to fit it in the bore. The pistons should move freely in the bore.
