My one owner 71 deluxe. :D currently waiting to go on the water. one owner from new, pretty amazing.

Two spots of paint that have been touched up and fresh front seat covers... EVERYTHING else is all original.
It was recently aquired from the Original Owner, who picked the Bus up in Germany in 71
and fanatically cared for it throughout it's whole life. Always pampered, every tank of gas documented!!

its going to be put into service as for wedding hire and see how that goes. I have the bits to lower it but they are forsale with no takers yet. im pretty sure i dont want to touch it other than waxoyl and dinitroyl the underneath.

ooof! that is a quality bus 8)

Just to repeat my comments from the beige thread. That looks really really mint. A really great find Johnny. Surely its too nice to be rented out?

Nice find , congratulations Johnny.
Some of the stamps on the service booklet are from Kearny Mesa Volkswagen here in San Diego , I actually work in Kearny Mesa but that Volkswagen Dealership is no longer there , nice to see another solid bus with San Diego history.

Very nice bus. Will you continue to document all the petrol fill-ups etc?

Nice to have all that detail Johnny, Did the previous owner have plenty of free time ? or was he just mad as a box of frogs ? :D....

.....or should I be doing this

Absolutely ace

its good but not too good its got a few (very few blemishes) but its the best unrestored microbus ive ever seen.

the history is amazing, every single tank of gas, if thats not anal what is?

really looking forward to getting my hands on it and will need some advice on getting it through the MOT as its my first cali bus.

awesome! thats the only bus ive seen that should be kept 100% stock, i bet it'll be a joy to drive.

Very very nice wow

I also have a 1969 deluxe clipper in same condition 100% original and I'm also the second owner.
I have it for 7 years now and really like it
If you are interested I can post some pictures but I'm pretty new on this forum

Enjoy it

Filip

i will try, but id be happy enough just to keep the elements at bay and keep the salt off it. I'll probably only hire it out for weddings as i have a nice vert to go with it. I've driven a left-hooker albeit a split for a wedding hire business a good few times and had a really enjoyable time doing that. Hopefully it'll pay for itself in a year or so.
