Pimp my bus up with new electrics, motor, beam etc or Import and restore a Splitty high top?

Got the budget to make a nice bus eiter way just can't decide what to do!!

thats what i thought airtime :)........... split high tops are cool tho, that slammed brown one doing the show circuit in the uk is awesome :)

Come on admit it , you want both  but you know if you had both you couldnt do them how you would like.
Personally I would see the bay through and get it just how you want it but I have a feeling that deep down its the split thats getting to you.
Its obvious how this poll will go on an EB forum as it would be on the SSVC forum.
I would go for the split as a long term project and keep the Bay as my main ride. From what ive seen of it, it really doesnt need anything.

mmmmmmm....i too have been tempted with a split project but the truth is is that deep down i no i would regret selling the bay, i think a lot of people including me would like both, as for the slammed brown hightop thats been mentioned does anyone no whats in the back, i saw it go down the strip at santa pod and it flew

I've had a tasty splitty and sold it to raise my share of our house deposit.

I then saved up and chose to buy an earlybay rather than a split (which I could afford).

Dude, everyone loves a splitty but earybays fully rock!!! 8)

Looking back, I spent over a couple thousand making my splitty drive like a bay

IRS, Brakes etc etc

When the right bus comes along you'll know it no matter whether it's a split or a bay.

sold my early bay and bought a late split,,, not really much in it mechanically, the early bay had uprated front brakes and was ball joint, the split has drums all round and is on king pins. The bay brakes were better. The bay was lowered while the split is standard and this is much better for the types of place I camp at. Both 12volt and both running 1600 twin port, bay had better top speed,, around 70, split will do 65, but sounds happy around 50 due to reduction boxes.
I have nothing bad to say about either of them and would run a splitty camper and an early bay micro bus if I could. ( wouldnt have safaris out of choice though,, getting really wet driving about this summer !! )
