Plugging EGR Hole in Type 4 Head

For a 1700cc Type 4 motor; We have a new american head that has an EGR hole that we need to plug.

What is the bes tmethod?

is it a flange or round hole?if its flange then just make blanking plate,threaded hole ,plug it.

Do we have to plug it with normal M10 steel bolt or ali bolt?

would use a tapered plug tbh wont matter ali or steel ,bolt will do.
