Hi

I have an almost new Porsche 356c/912 engine, that i'm keen to convert to my
69' bay window. I have a Type 1, 1600 DP engine in it now, which is close to "worn out"

Anyone have a list of what mods needed for this conversion?

I have search the net for days, and all I can find is bug's, Ghias and split buses with this
setup, not a single early or any bay window at all for that matter...

All help on this will be wildly appreciated... :)

Thanks in advance...

All the best

Alex

I'm guessing here but you would need to fab up an engine support bar and swap the tinwear for bus items for a start. Plus bus flywheel and clutch.
Why not flog the 356 engine with added porsche scene tax and get one better suited to a heavy bus

Hi.
Personally, I would consider selling it on to someone with a 356/912, it's worth a far bit, I can build you a stout T2 engine that will be more suitable for the van, if you have any issues with the 912 motor they are horrendously expensive to fix, a good well built 1776 or1904ccengine will give far more power and reliability if the right components are used, stay away from production built ******** motors.
Good luck with your choice.
If you want to see what I can do check out the Facebook link at VINTAGESPEED uk .
Cheers.

Thanks guys, I swopped it with a newly built 1915 with EFI, looking forward to try this engine :)
