Hi all. I've got a 68 model year 69 panel van imported from American.

My question relates to the rear panel with the louvre straight air vents that are similar to the ones at the rear of a splitty.

Was this feature on early bays standard or an extra and why do some vans appear to have them and some don't?

Thanks ks Alex

I just spotted this Alex, you've probably sold the van by now but.......
Panel vans are the same as splitty vans, if the van was a walk through panel, you will find no rear vents, as front to rear of van was open, mainly to allow fumes to escape, on a bulkhead van, with the doors shut, no air will get in or out so vents were fitted because you would probably have a bulkhead partition fitted...
Hope this helps

Ron
