Hi All, Last year I posted on a thread about getting a replacement engine for my bus. I still plan on replacing my 1600 for a 1776 at some point as the poor old 1600 has an oil leak , suspected to be in the case itself. However in the mean time I wanted to nurse my van through another year. I'm looking for somewhere in the Ipswich/Suffolk area that could give my engine a good going over to get it running as best as it can be. I'm not shy on working on the bus myself , and pretty much rebuilt the whole thing from a shell , however tuning, timing and carb set up isn't my strong point and I've just never really had it running as sweet as I think it could be. It is a 1600 recon engine with about 8k on it, but sat around for years while the rest of the bus was sorted. It has new euro carb twin Webber's with fuel regulator and electric fuel pump (Carter), and I recently fitted a 123 distributor as they came highly recommended. So if anyone knows of anybody I could reach out to and get her running as best as we can , in and around Ipswich/Suffolk area (or further really) that would be awesome. I've heard Hector Howes name get passed around  Cheers John
