You just need to replace the cork gasket, available from the usual suppliers: Heritage, GSF, Cool Air, etc, etc

Cork gaskets and a healthy amount of sealant was the only way to get mine to seal
Ended up using some Halfords high temp gasket compound left to set over night - no more leaks

This was the stuff I have used

I'd recommend Hylomar Blue as a gasket sealant if you want a little extra protection from leaks. Unlike silicone sealant, it is non-setting and less risk of chunks breaking off as items are torqued down into place. Cracking stuff. 8)

However, if yours are repeatedly leaking, is it always from the same place? Have you tried putting the cover on a pane of glass to see if the mating surface is flat? Cleaning up both surfaces before fitting the new gasket?

In your case, I think you need to find out why it isn't sealing first of all.

bolt up covers..

if replacing the cork gaskets isn't fixing the problem then likely the spring clips have lost strength. mine developed a habit of starting a drip and then becoming a full loss of a case of oil over a long drive.

bolt up covers solved it

If your rocker covers are modern replacements then get hold of some second hand original ones. The repro ones are often not quite right and they leak because they don't seat as well as they should.

As Trikky says... I think the op was asking where to get genuine rocker covers as his probably aren't, try http://www.megabug.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If your faces are pretty good, a lot of the time it will be because your bales aren't exerting enough force on the covers. Take them off and bend the legs inwards, then put them back on... Usually sorts it for ever and ever.

I had similar issues with mine, when i bought mine the originals had been replaced with chrome ones which leaked horrendously. I first went down the route of getting some "top quality" neoprene gaskets...don't waste your money. I then bought a second hand pair of original covers, new clips and cork gaskets. Give them a smear of Hylomar blue and voila......no more leaks. :)

Gsf have Mexican ones. Call them and get the ones usually wrapped in paper. Gsf in Poole and doncaster had them both in a month ago
