We've had a scammers contact a member who was looking for parts pretending to be breaking a van for spares. This guy was flagged as he had sent a picture of a mint Tintop on UK plates that he was supposedly breaking in Spain. What a loon. He was asking €100 for quarterlights from it. He might get clever and use a more believable image next time.

They are registering on the using proxies in Spain, but further examination of the IP was flagging up their location as Africa.

Keep your eyes peeled and they will always request the money by Western Union.

Good call Johnny, I used WU once to pay for a bus in the US, never again as you have no way of knowing whether the bus will turn up.(luckily it did and the guy was genuine) If buying from abroad always insist on transferring money directly into a bank account, not even paypal is safe unless they are a registered trader as its too easy to set up an account and then close it down a week later.

FYI you can use Paypal to pay for items up to $10,000 a much safer medium as you have built in protection. I used this method to pay for both my imports.

ill move the thread over to sales once it falls down the page a bit.

Think this is probably the same guy that PM'd me about a carb gasket, wanted $100 (or was it Euro :? ) anyway after picking myself up off the floor from laughing i ignored him, now the PM says sent from a user no longer registered

as everything seems to be $/£100 tell him you can only deal in $/£500's so he needs to send you a cheque for $/£400 and you will send him one back for $/£500

p.s. im not from Africa or Spain
