Sliding door track cover trim won't budge ?

The outer trim that covers the sliding door track on the body belt line won't seem to budge. I've removed both screws and tapped /womped it upwards but it doesn't seem to move upwards . I think it's rusted in but the trim itself is not rusty at all on the outside or underneath . Any ideas how to remove it without distorting a nice condition trim ?

have you released the wedge strip?

If you open your slider and look inside the end of the track cover you'll see a posidrive screw head ..

loosen it and knock it back.. that track cover should be quite loose when tension on the strip is removed.
