Yes, I have a 100W flexible solar panel on my 71 tintop roof.
The cables go through the air intake and are linked to a 103Ah AGM battery on the left of the engine.
I have full autonomy with a Dometic CFX28 cooler, phone, laptop, etc.

I'm in the process of installing a 100w rigid panel on the luggage rack of our westy. Using a votronic controller that also charges the starter battery

Cheers for the photos. i use my rack all the time so i am looking at a portable one.
I did ask about them last year but still haven't got round to sorting it.

You could possibly do something with a flexi panel underneath but a standard would be too thick. You would have a lot more time in shadow though. Sticking to the poptop is a popular option

I did think about a flexi panel but hook it to the pop top when its up as i didn't want to stick it to the roof. They are great a few mate have eriba's and use them.

I was the same about sticking it on which is why I went with the rack. I thought about detachable but then it is taking space in the van and you have to remember to put it on.

There is still a bit of space around it that I can use, could be increased further by mounting in a corner rather than central. You could also fashion a bracket to allow it to be attached further back.
